About the event
Join us for an evening of original poetry and music as contemporary midrash, part of Hebrew College’s series “Poetry and Music as Midrash in Motion.” This gathering brings together poets, musicians, and students in a shared exploration of text, tradition, and creative voice.
The evening will feature original work by Ben Corvo, whose poetry engages Jewish life, memory, and language with formal rigor and emotional depth. Corvo’s work has appeared in The Manhattan Review, Salmagundi, and other journals in the US, UK, and Israel.
Student poets from Hebrew College will also share their work, alongside live musical offerings by student musicians Julia Sabra and Sam Tygiel.
This event is sponsored by RUACH, in partnership with the Hebrew College Rabbinical School. As part of the evening, RUACH will offer a brief grounding moment, drawing on breath and presence practices that support embodied listening and reflection. Registration and details via Hebrew College, by clicking the RSVP link on this page.
